Who plays Lucia in GTA 6? The Manni L. Perez theory and the fake Instagram

Rockstar hasn’t said who plays Lucia Caminos. Most fans believe it’s Manni L. Perez, but she has never confirmed it, and the viral posts in which she supposedly did came from a fake account. Here’s what the theory rests on and what would settle it.

Has Rockstar confirmed Lucia’s actress?

No. Lucia’s profile on Rockstar’s People and Places page covers her father teaching her to fight, her sentence in the Leonida Penitentiary and her plans after release, with no performer named. Our Lucia Caminos page keeps the actor field empty for the same reason.

So far Stephen Root is the only GTA 6 actor to confirm a role (more on that). A podcast reported in September that actors’ NDAs only let them speak from November 19, which would explain the silence.

Why do fans think it’s Manni L. Perez?

The theory took off after the first trailer in December 2023, when viewers compared Lucia’s face and voice with Perez’s. PCGamesN lists the rest of the case: fans say she and Dylan Rourke, the favorite for Jason, followed each other before that trailer, and she has mentioned a big project she can’t talk about.

She also has a Rockstar credit: she voiced a blackjack dealer in GTA Online. That shows she has worked with the studio, on a different game. A previous credit plus a resemblance makes her a reasonable guess. It isn’t a casting announcement.

Did Manni L. Perez confirm she plays Lucia?

No, and this is where many readers got misled. Around the Extended Look in late August, an Instagram account called mannil.perez posted that it was Lucia’s voice. Several sites reported it as her confirmation. TheGamer took the account apart on August 29: it had over 50,000 followers, its username had changed 16 times, and its posts used AI-generated text and pictures, including a fake family photo. Perez’s real account had been inactive since she shut it down the year before because of harassment.

On September 1 the real account came back. As LADbible quotes it, Perez thanked people “for reporting those fake imposter AI accounts” and said nothing about GTA 6 or Lucia. We’ve logged the claim as debunked.

On October 25 Perez held her first Instagram Live, chatting with more than 2,000 viewers about cooking and her dog. According to VICE, she sidestepped every question about GTA 6 and didn’t talk about her acting work.

What doesn’t prove who plays Lucia

• A similar face. Character models are often a mix of references, and the person on set may only give the voice or the movement.
• A similar voice. It’s a reason to look closer, nothing more.
• An entry on a user-edited database. Anyone can add a credit there, so it only helps if it links to a real source.
• An unverified social account. Check that the profile is the actress’s own before treating a post as her words.

And don’t send the actress questions about it. She already left Instagram once over harassment, and if she is under an NDA she can’t answer.

When will we know for sure?

The credits on November 19, 2026, or a statement from Rockstar or the actress herself that names Lucia. We’ll add the name to Lucia’s page as soon as there is one. For the rest of the cast, see GTA 6 voice actors.
