GTA 6 voice actors: who is confirmed and who is just a fan guess

Only one actor has confirmed a part in GTA 6: Stephen Root, who plays Brian Heder. Rockstar has published eight character profiles, Jason and Lucia included, and none of them credits an actor. Every other name you’ll see in cast lists is a fan guess based on a face, a voice or a line on an acting résumé.

Which GTA 6 actors are confirmed?

Stephen Root. Asked by the Associated Press in mid-September, he said “you’re gonna see me in there,” and Variety reported that he plays Brian, the drug runner from the Leonida Keys who gives Jason a place to stay. Fans had matched his voice to Brian long before that. The full story is in our Stephen Root article, and Brian has his own database entry.

That’s the whole confirmed list. Rockstar’s People and Places page describes the characters in detail, from Lucia’s time in prison to Cal Hampton’s conspiracy theories, and names no performers. Our GTA 6 characters guide covers those profiles.

Why is Rockstar keeping the cast quiet?

Rockstar hasn’t published a cast list. On September 16 the GTA VI O’Clock podcast reported that Rockstar had reminded actors that their NDAs only let them talk about the game from November 19 (summary on GTAVice.net). Rockstar hasn’t confirmed that message, but it fits: the cast list should become public on launch day.

The story scenes were shot with full performance capture, so the person behind a character may give the voice, the movement or both. GTA 6 is voiced only in English, and other languages get subtitles, so there are no local voice casts to look for either.

Who do fans think plays Jason and Lucia?

Two names come up most. Manni L. Perez is the favorite for Lucia, Dylan Rourke for Jason. PCGamesN sums up the case: both look and sound like the characters, and fans dug into their social media and portfolios. Neither actor has said a word about GTA 6.

The Perez theory got a false boost in late August, when an Instagram account posing as her claimed to be Lucia’s voice. It was a fake (details here). We’ve looked at each theory separately: who plays Lucia and who plays Jason.

Who has denied being in GTA 6?

Some guesses have already been shot down by the actors themselves. Troy Baker said the voice fans heard in the first trailer wasn’t his and that whoever it is should get credit for the work. Roger Craig Smith answered the same question with “Nope. Not me.” Both denials are collected by PCGamesN.

How to check a cast rumor yourself

• Find who actually said it. An actor in an interview, Rockstar in the credits, or a fan comparing clips are three very different things.
• Check the account. Fake profiles of rumored actors exist, and the Perez case shows they can fool news sites too.
• Look for the character’s name. “I worked on GTA 6” confirms a job, not a role.
• Count the original sources, not the reposts. Ten articles quoting the same video are still one fan theory.

Please don’t pester the actors. Rumored cast members have faced a lot of attention for a role they may not even have, and under an NDA they couldn’t answer anyway.

When will the full GTA 6 cast be known?

The credits will be in the game on November 19, 2026, and from that day actors can talk if the NDA report is right. We’ll update the character pages for Lucia and Jason with names and sources as soon as they’re confirmed. Until then the question is on our list of open questions.
