Money and the bank

Money matters more in GTA 6 than before: story missions alone don’t pay enough to move the story forward. Cash in your pocket can be lost; money in the shared bank account is safe.

What we know

Rob Nelson told Famitsu that missions alone won’t earn enough to move the story forward, so you make money in the open world too. IGN reports that the story sometimes waits until you raise a set amount. The main ways to earn are stealing and selling cars, holding up businesses, robbing stores and bank jobs.

Jason and Lucia share a bank account; the cash they carry is separate and can be lost when they’re wasted or busted (Esquire, Famitsu).

    Jason and Lucia’s relationship

Jason and Lucia’s bond is a gameplay system: it has a status in the game, grows through time spent together and affects how their story plays out. Romance is optional.
