Jason and Lucia’s relationship

Jason and Lucia’s bond is a gameplay system: it has a status in the game, grows through time spent together and affects how their story plays out. Romance is optional.

What we know

Rob Nelson told Famitsu that the game shows the couple’s relationship status next to their bank balance, and player choices decide whether they stay a couple or become partners in crime. If the bond weakens, actions like holding hands or kissing disappear, but the relationship can be repaired.

According to IGN, the bond grows when they explore Leonida together, go shopping, visit salons, work out or commit robberies as a pair. Ignoring a partner’s texts can hurt it. Romance gives no gameplay bonuses; it’s a roleplay choice, but how close they are affects how the story plays out.

    Money and the bank

Money matters more in GTA 6 than before: story missions alone don’t pay enough to move the story forward. Cash in your pocket can be lost; money in the shared bank account is safe.
