Is there GTA 6 early access? Pre-load on November 12, play on November 19

There is no early access to GTA 6. No edition, pre-order bonus or store lets you play before launch on November 19, 2026. What you can do early is download it: pre-loading opens on November 12. Anyone selling a way to play sooner is selling something else.

Does the Ultimate Edition include early access?

No. Rockstar Support lists everything in the Ultimate Edition: the ’95 Grotti Cheetah, the Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers, several businesses, the PTT Youngin$ Compound and the Classic Car Collection, among others. Rockstar says these bonuses are spread across Jason and Lucia’s story and unlock chapter by chapter. Playing early isn’t one of them, and the digital pre-order bonus (the Vintage Vice City Pack and a month of GTA+) doesn’t include it either.

How does GTA 6 pre-loading work?

Digital pre-orders can start downloading at local midnight on November 12, 2026, a week before launch. The date first appeared in Take-Two’s pre-order announcement, and Rockstar’s support page now adds the details.

• Digital copy: pre-load starts automatically at midnight local time on November 12.
• Boxed copy: the box holds a download code instead of a disc. Retailers should start shipping on November 12, and the code can be used for pre-loading as soon as you have it.
• Launch: the files stay locked until the game unlocks in your region on November 19.

On PlayStation, the unlock follows a regional schedule: in New Zealand the game opens on the evening of November 18 UTC, in the US at midnight Eastern. Our GTA 6 release time guide lists every window.

Early access scams to watch for

Fake early access is one of the oldest tricks around big launches, and GTA 6 has plenty of it. When pre-orders opened, Kaspersky warned about fake stores that copy the game’s branding and trailers, a site offering a supposed beta build that could install malware, and a crypto token dressed up with the GTA 6 logo.

• Type the store’s address yourself. Real copies are sold through the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, Rockstar Store and their retail partners.
• Look for the same offer on Rockstar’s own site. If it isn’t there, it doesn’t exist.
• Never run an installer from a site promising the game early. The game can’t be installed on any device before launch.
• Never pay in crypto for access. Real retailers don’t ask for it, and you won’t get the money back.

Keep the page address, the messages and the payment receipt, and contact your bank or payment service through its official app or site. If you typed a PlayStation, Xbox or email password into a suspicious page, change it on the official site and turn on two-factor authentication. If you ran a downloaded file, scan the device with a trusted security tool.
