How to pre-order GTA 6 safely
GTA 6 pre-orders have been open since June 25, 2026. Five steps to buy the game from an official store, pick an edition and avoid scams.

Step 1. Open the game’s page in your platform’s store
The PlayStation Store on PS5, the Microsoft Store on Xbox, or the “Pre-Order Now” button on the official website, rockstargames.com/VI. Don’t follow links from emails, comments or ads.
Step 2. Choose an edition
There are two editions: Standard and the Ultimate Edition with extra vehicles, weapons and outfits. The Vintage Vice City pack comes with either edition if you pre-order or buy the game before November 20.
Step 3. Check the contents and price
Compare the contents of each edition with Rockstar’s official website. Prices vary by country and store, but a suspiciously low price is the main sign of a scam.
Step 4. Check pre-loading
The digital version can be pre-loaded from November 12, so the game starts right away on November 19. The physical edition is a box with a download code, and it also goes on sale November 12.
Step 5. Keep your confirmation
The purchase email and order number will come in handy if something goes wrong.
Tips
- “Pre-release discount” keys from unfamiliar online stores almost always turn out to be scams.
- Officially, the game can’t be downloaded before November 12: paid “early access” is fake.
