GTA 6 isn’t playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026, but it has its own theater. Sony Interactive Entertainment set it up inside the PlayStation booth at Makuhari Messe near Tokyo, where the show runs from September 17 to 21.
What’s on screen
Visitors watch the Extended Look, the 26-minute gameplay video Rockstar released on August 27, on a 300-inch screen. Sony’s floor haptics make the floor vibrate in sync with the picture and sound.
Free T-shirt and stickers
Everyone who watches the whole presentation gets a Grand Theft Auto VI | PlayStation T-shirt: one per person, size L only, while supplies last. Visitors who post their impressions of the booth’s games on social media with #PS5 get a set of three GTA VI stickers.
Tickets ran out fast
Nikkei Cross Trend reported that numbered tickets for the GTA 6 theater ran out almost at once, even on the business days before the show opened to the public.
One more piece of GTA 6 news came out of Tokyo: Twitch CEO Dan Clancy told Bloomberg he expects GTA 6 multiplayer in 2027.
