All official GTA 6 trailers and videos

Rockstar has released three official GTA 6 videos: trailers in December 2023 and May 2025, and the Extended Look in August 2026.

Update, October 15, 2026: a fourth video is out, the 90-second Launch Trailer.

By name it’s the third trailer, after Trailer 1 and Trailer 2; the Extended Look was a separate gameplay video (fact). What it shows is in the Launch Trailer breakdown.

Trailer 1, December 2023

The first trailer came out on December 5, 2023. It showed Vice City, Lucia and the state of Leonida, and ended by naming the release year: 2025. The release was later delayed twice.

Its key lines, scene by scene with timestamps, are on the Trailer 1 page.

Trailer 2, May 2025

The second trailer came out on May 6, 2025. It introduced Jason, scenes of the couple together, Vice City in daylight and new parts of the state. Our frame-by-frame breakdown of Trailer 2 is a separate article.

Key lines from it, scene by scene, are on the Trailer 2 page.

Extended Look, August 2026

Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look came out on August 27, 2026. It premiered on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET, and at 9 p.m. ET the same day it went up on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the game’s website. According to Rockstar, it was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.

Launch Trailer, October 2026

The Launch Trailer came out on October 15, 2026, five weeks before release. It runs 90 seconds, sets up the story as a criminal conspiracy across Leonida and debuts “Flower in a Hurricane” by Justice, the composers of the game’s score (Rockstar’s announcement).

What’s next

Rockstar doesn’t announce video dates in advance. We’ll add each new video to this list.

Scene-by-scene breakdowns of the trailers, with timestamps, places and characters, are in our GTA 6 trailers section.
