Rockstar has released three official GTA 6 videos: trailers in December 2023 and May 2025, and the Extended Look in August 2026.
Trailer 1, December 2023
The first trailer came out on December 5, 2023. It showed Vice City, Lucia and the state of Leonida, and ended by naming the release year: 2025. The release was later delayed twice.
Trailer 2, May 2025
The second trailer came out on May 6, 2025. It introduced Jason, scenes of the couple together, Vice City in daylight and new parts of the state. Our frame-by-frame breakdown of Trailer 2 is a separate article.
Extended Look, August 2026
Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look came out on August 27, 2026. It premiered on Netflix at 3 p.m. ET, and at 9 p.m. ET the same day it went up on Rockstar’s YouTube channel and the game’s website. According to Rockstar, it was captured entirely in-game on PlayStation 5.
