Rockstar released the 26-minute GTA 6 Extended Look on August 27, and fans have been going through it frame by frame since. Some finds are plainly on screen; others are resemblances. Rockstar hasn’t confirmed any of them as intentional.
Dexter’s apartment in Vice City
An aerial shot of Vice City shows a waterfront building with a T-shaped layout, a round outdoor staircase and walkways across the lawn. X user Saukko505 matched it to the Bay Harbor Club at 1155 103rd Street in Bay Harbor Islands, the real building used for exterior shots of Dexter Morgan’s apartment in Dexter.
A Red Dead Redemption 2 landscape in a TV ad
At 7:47 a TV in the video shows a commercial with a landscape and animals. Reddit user Kn1ghtV1sta recognized a spot from Red Dead Redemption 2 after many hours in that game. The two views differ: the water is less blue in RDR2, and the rock, the tree trunk and the animals aren’t there.
“Tenebrae Lux,” a Clair Obscur parody
In the scene where the player watches someone in a VR headset, a poster reads “Tenebrae Lux,” Latin for “shadow light.” Reddit user Popular-Vehicle-8487 pointed out that it mirrors Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, whose French title means “light-dark,” and copies the style of that game’s cover.
@ScooterBros in the stream chat
In the in-game livestream, one chat username is @ScooterBros. It points back to the viral 2008 “Scooter Brothers” video made in GTA 4, which Rockstar already referenced in GTA 5 when Trevor shouts “Scooter brothers!”
A Gruppe Sechs van
A Gruppe Sechs security van, familiar from GTA 5 heists, is parked outside the Rideout Customs shop.
Details in Lucia’s apartment
Fans also point to a print in the style of Patrick Nagel on the wall of Lucia’s apartment and a teddy bear on her couch that looks like Mr. Raspberry Jam, Trevor’s bear from GTA 5.
