Choose your console: PS5 or Xbox Series X|S
At launch the game is out only on these two. A PC version hasn’t been announced; GamesBeat reports it’s planned for early 2027.
Check that your account’s country is on the pre-order lists
A PlayStation account’s country can’t be changed, and codes must match it. Xbox codes aren’t region-locked.
Pick an edition: Standard ($79.99) or Ultimate ($99.99)
There’s no boxed Ultimate Edition. Boxed Standard owners can buy the Upgrade after redeeming their code.
Buy before November 20 to get the Vintage Vice City pack
The pack comes with either edition.
Redeem the free GTA+ month from a digital pre-order
On PlayStation by March 31, 2027; on Xbox within 180 days of the pre-order. After that the subscription renews at the regular price.

Rockstar hasn’t published the file size. The 676.7 GB and 750 GB figures going around are unconfirmed.
Turn on automatic downloads so pre-loading starts on November 12
Pre-loading is open to digital pre-orders.

PlayStation Store listings show the first unlock at 11:00 UTC on November 18 in New Zealand, and mostly midnight local time elsewhere.

Voice-over is English only; the other 12 launch languages get text and subtitles.
